Come and participate in classes focused on a key issue in education; using creativity to teach sciences and the arts.Learn how to embed visual art concepts and connections into the STEM areas and establish authentic ways to guide your students toward creativity, collaboration and engagement. These sessions were designed with a STEAM model; all disciplines are regarded as co-equal. This course will provide activities and projects for making authentic connections between content areas-wherever crossing borders makes sense for targeted learning outcomes. Participants will discover new ways to help students "connect the dots". Adding the "A" to STEM will be a game changer in the classroom. Activities will be grade level adaptable and budget minded.

Learner OutcomesParticipants will learn ways to foster a learning environment and improve students' creativity and critical thinking in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through the connection of visual art concepts within other areas. All STEAM lessons will be aligned to the National Core Arts Standards-Creating, Responding, Connecting, and Presenting.
