Course Description

Explores participants' personal understanding of a relationship with the arts, and how gender, race and cultural heritage interact with that relationship. Examines arts' role, function and value in teaching and in the greater community. Investigates the nature of creativity and how it is nurtured or suppressed in our social, educational and economic systems. Validates diverse individual and cultural voices and their modes of creativity.

This course can either be taken for credit or clock hours. Credit is available under EDCN 5489.
