Course DescriptionThis course presents the new science of learning so educators can creatively translate science into exceptional practice. Highly appropriate for the professional development and ongoing training for teachers, instructional designers, and curriculum developers. Based on the popular Stanford University course, The ABCs of How We Learn, it uses a novel format using everyday language, engaging examples, a sense of humor, and solid evidence to describe the unique ways students learn. Learning research is presented in a way that educators can creatively translate into exceptional lessons and classroom practice. The theories, evidence, and strategies can be combined in endless ways to create original and effective learning plans, and the means to know if they succeed.
