Course Description

This class is meant to expand watercolor skills learned in watercolor basics classes. Students receive detailed instruction and training for mastering intermediate watercolor skills in design, color mixing, use of color, and advanced techniques. These skills can be used in the classroom as well as personal use in the studio, and can be used to conduct watercolor projects. Intermediate skills allow the artist to create a watercolor painting with an increased level of design and color that has color harmony and is rich and creative. We will paint from enlarged copies of landscapes supplied by the instructor. All intermediate students will bring their own painting supplies. There will be plenty of time each day for questions and discussion.

This course can be taken for credit or clock hours. Credit is available under ART 5670.
