Course Description

This course is designed to help students create a camp for their own athletes (or tournament for many teams), and a clinic for their own athletes and coaches. Both could be used as possible fundraisers for their program. Students will integrate the fundamentals, techniques, and philosophies of their own programs (or future programs) into their own clinic and camp. Students will investigate a successful existing camp or tournament before designing their own. They will create a budget and marketing plan for both their clinic and their camp.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the course participants will have:

Designed a camp or tournament and clinic
Integrated personal coaching philosophies into a clinic and camp
Compared and contrasted their own clinic or tournament with an existing college or high school one
Used clinic and camp as possible fundraiser for a program
