This course presents easily-implemented skills that will help any challenging conversation move more smoothly toward positive outcomes for all stakeholders. Course participants will develop an in-depth understanding of why certain conversations become difficult; and will learn three preparatory steps to approaching any conversation that is considered difficult. Course participants will learn specific skills that enhance general conversations and help prevent difficult conversations, as well as learn specific skills that are particularly valuable during challenging conversations in education.
By the end of this course participants will be able to guide challenging conversations in education toward better results in cooperation and cohesion for all stakeholders. Skills can also be used in other settings.
