Course Description

Focuses on the strategies to teach and remediate a wide range of social skills. Gain an understanding of the importance of these basic foundational period skills in the lives of children, and explore techniques that enable students to relate interpersonally in a successful manner. Expand the knowledge base and awareness of social skills theories and materials. Discover the behavioral problems associated with social-skills deficits, learning methods that foster positive student interactions and develop effective techniques and strategies that remediate social-skills deficits. Experience and evaluate many social-skills programs and cooperative games, case-management strategies and troubleshooting of individual problem cases.


This course can be taken for credit or clock hours. Clock hours are available under CEU 2203.
