This course is an overview of the greatest conflict in the history of the world. It explores the seeds of conflict in Europe and Asia, the war itself, its resolution, and aftermath. Beyond this, attention is given to noteworthy people, places, and the instruments of war as well as the impact of the struggle on ordinary people living in extraordinary times.
