Course DescriptionAccordion books have appeared across centuries in both Western and Eastern cultures. Artists, photographers, printmakers, writers, illustrators can all make use of the endless possibilities of this format (which is also known as a concertina). Participants will incorporate techniques such as folding, sewing, pop-ups and weaving in both hard cover and soft cover and will take away a number of samples and models. All materials and supplies will be provided. No experience necessary.
Wear clothing that can get dirty or get glue on it, or bring an apron instructor to provide all other materials and supplies.
This course can either be taken for credit or clock hours. Credit is available under ART 5676.
