EDMU 5623 - SongWorks Teaching Practicum

Course Description

SongWorks Teaching Practicum is designed to guide and coach students as they implement knowledge, skills and understandings learned in or prompted by SongWorks in Action and SongWorks for Musicality courses. Practicum faculty will mentor students as they demonstrate SongWorks principles and practices in their own schools and communities. Faculty and students will have regular consultations, regarding lesson planning, assessing video recorded teaching by the course participant, and reflections about teaching and learning as students build their own strengths as educators. Successful completion of this teaching practicum certifies that the applicant has demonstrated the knowledge and skills as well as the principles and practices of SongWorks teaching and learning.

Notes

This course is equivalent to EDMU 5599 and cannot be taken if EDMU 5599 has been successfully completed.
