Do unplanned disruptions and changes both big and small deplete you of the energy you need to be your best creative, productive, positive self? In this class you will work through Elena Aguilar’s book, Onward, developing healthy habits that can build your emotional resilience. Testimonials

“Learning about myself, re-finding my purpose, has had the biggest impact on me. Taking the time to self-evaluate, reflect, and truly open up about my experiences, tendencies, and plans moving forward has been powerful. It’s put me on a path of health, wellness, and resilience.“Self-knowledge is critical in times of turmoil and helps us manage the onslaught of emotions that arise during change or when we want to lead change. ...Authentic confidence comes from self-knowledge.” (Aguilar, 2018: p.42).. This self-knowledge will impact my personal and professional life as I lead positive change.” —TINT Student

“I have so greatly appreciated reading and reflecting on this book. It has come at a time when I desperately needed a resilience “tune up”. What I find fascinating is that this book was published in 2018, before the pandemic, and before anyone outside the public health world could even conceive of the pandemic. It’s interesting because educators really needed to work on resilience for years before the pandemic. I have a feeling I will be turning to this book often this school year.” —TINT Student

“One of the big takeaways for me from this course was the interconnectedness of all the pieces of resilience. I previously believed that if I was super prepared and organized then everything else would fall into place. These habits were taking more than their fair share of my being. The change I hope to work towards is a balance between professional and personal growth. Finding a balance will help me to continue to take care of myself, explore new hobbies, continue to learn, and find the positives in change.” —TINT Student
