Course Description

This seminar will review how to present and market your services to a physician. Various topics to be covered include: Identify differing areas of medicine, cultural differences in medicine to be considered before approaching a physician, the focus difference in medical family therapy not represented in other behavioral science fields, strategic connections in specialty and primary care, insurance obstacles and bridges, MDFT core competencies, evidence-based research in family-based interventions, and the development of marketing products. Marketing tools will be developed by students and shared with each other.
