EDCT 5269 - Classroom Management: Understanding Diverse Learning Needs

Course Description

Investigates some of the diverse needs today's students may be facing. Through readings and reflection, participants will identify action steps they can take to effectively meet the needs of students. By the end of the course participants will be able to recognize the needs of different types of students; formulate an approach to student-teacher interactions that considers the needs of students; integrate techniques into their classroom management approach that addresses the needs of students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder; and examine the nature and expression of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children and adolescents.
