Course Description

Because change is an ongoing and personal process, this course introduces educators to the tools and practices of cultural proficiency as an inside-out approach to serving diverse school communities. Based on the powerful third edition of "Cultural Proficiency", Randall B. Lindsey, Kikanza Nuri Robins, and Raymond D. Terrell show how school leaders can embrace a mindset of advocacy and equity, overcome internal and external barriers to cultural proficiency, understand how race, culture, and power intersect within the school community, and adopt the practices and behaviors of culturally proficient leaders.
