Course Description

The Oregon Association of School Libraries (OASL) hosts an annual conference that serves as an excellent professional development and networking opportunity. There are featured speakers, concurrent sessions, and exhibits times – all focused on helping school library staff stay current with the profession.

Course Outline

Participants are expected to attend a minimum of 8.5 hours of sessions and keynotes. This will include a combination of the following: Friday preconference sessions, Friday evening author talk, Saturday author panel, Saturday concurrent sessions, and Saturday breakfast and/or lunch keynote. Engage in discussions and take notes so you are prepared to report about your experiences and learning.

Learner Outcomes

After attending the OASL conference, participants will be able to do the following:

  • Describe one or more current trends or issues in the school library profession
  • Apply new learning to improve your school library program

Notes

This course can either be taken for credit or clock hours. Clock hours are available under CEU 3978.
