Micro-Credential in Online Counseling

The School of Education is pleased to announce the launch of an online program aimed at empowering professional school counselors with skills and expertise to best serve K-12 students in an online or hybrid format. Courses focus on legal and ethical issues in online counseling, online counseling skills, and collaboration and consultation with educational stakeholders through online community engagement, and the program culminates with an online counseling practicum experience.
This credential is intended to build upon the school counseling degree foundation to provide advanced skill development. Its online, self-paced coursework, offered through our Center for Professional Education, allows for reduced credit cost and flexible scheduling. The program can completed in as few as twelve weeks or up to one year!
