Course Description

This course offers an introduction to robotics and the Robot Operating System (ROS). It covers core topics such as robot forward kinematics, inverse kinematics, robot control, and the fundamentals of ROS and ROS programming. No prior experience in robotics is required, though experience with computer programming is an asset. Through guided, hands-on activities, students will actively practice the concepts they learn and apply fundamental robotics principles through practical exercises using ROS. Learners will develop a deeper understanding of robotics and establish a solid foundation that prepares them to take the next step toward working as intermediate-level robotics engineers.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand robot forward and inverse kinematics
  • Design robot control systems
  • Implement sensors, actuators, and controllers through ROS programming
