Course Description

This book provides a metacognitive strategy for educators aiming to teach preschoolers Social Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies, improve school climate, boost academic performance, and increase inclusivity. School leaders can cultivate compassion and equity in their school communities by leveraging antiracist and culturally competent professional development, program planning, and curriculum.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Create anti-racist, heart-centered classrooms
  • Identify and implement empathy in the classroom
  • Implement and integrate SELf questioning in the classroom
  • Utilize SELf questioning in inquiry-based subject matter
