EDCT 5288 - Multiple Intelligences: Designing a Classroom Environment

Course Description

Reexamines the use of learning centers through the lens of the multiple intelligences. Explores how to redesign the classroom to incorporate the different intelligences and create an environment for all students to thrive. Examines the importance of the personal intelligences, shares practical ideas for teaching students about these intelligences, and shows how to create opportunities for students to strengthen them. Teaches about the professional learning community model and discusses how teachers can share ideas for introducing the intelligences and create lessons that honor the different ways students learn.
