Course DescriptionThis course is designed to facilitate the development and implementation of classroom-based practitioner inquiry. Secondary mathematics teachers will formulate research questions based on areas for focused improvement in their teaching practices and integrate instructional changes with the goal of improving student learning.
- Elevate their instructional practices and discover new teaching innovations by conducting action research in their classroom.
- Implement new strategies, make observations, collect data and analyze the results to determine an innovation’s effect of student learning.
- Think of themselves as researchers and innovators as they increase their confidence and share their good ideas with others.
