Course Description

Through exploring their white racial identity, students will be able to distinguish between race, ethnicity and nationality in America and assess their understanding of what it means to be a racially and ethnically conscious individual. Students also will learn about racial and ethnic identity development and the process of becoming white. Trhough various activities, students will be able to reflect on the role of stereotypes and dominant and subordinate personalities in the classroom.
