Course Description

Provides a practical way to study words with students, based on the research on invented and developmental spelling. Uses the framework of the five stages of spelling or orthographic development. Complements the use of any existing phonics, spelling, and vocabulary curricula using this developmental format. Covers the stages and necessary assessments to determine students' levels, the particular stages of literacy development, and developmentally appropriate activities to accompany these stages.
