Course Description

Explores the promising practices of programs incorporating success-oriented delivery systems and authentic assessments. Covers academic concepts through movement, as well as alternative fitness activities.

 

Notes

This course enrollment is restricted only to students who are enrolled in one of the following SPU programs while pursuing a Health Fitness endorsement: SPU’s AMAT, MAT, ARC certification programs, or CPE’s Add-on Endorsement program.

Participants who register for this course but do not fit that criteria will be administratively dropped from the course with a full refund.

Course is self-paced. Completion time: up to one year from date of enrollment (Note exception below):

NOTE: Students interested in completing this course as a prerequisite for the 2024 offering of PES 5070 or PES 5065 must enroll eight weeks prior to the start of their desired course and submit their work 10 days prior to the course beginning, to allow adequate time for completion and grading of PES 5051 content.

2023-24 dates outlined as follows:

PES 5070 start date: 1/3/24: register for PES 5051 by 11/8/2023, submit work by 12/25/2023.

PES 5065 start date: 3/27/2024: register for PES 5051 by 1/20/2024, submit work by 3/15/2024.

Refund Policy: Withdrawals submitted online through SPU within 7 days of enrollment will receive a 95% refund. Withdrawals received after that point will not receive a refund and no withdrawals will be accepted after the completion deadline for the course.
