This course forced me to look into Chromebooks in a way I likely wouldn’t have had I not taken the course. I know my teaching and student engagement and learning will improve as a result.

I can directly use the things I learned in the course on a daily basis. And the beauty of it is I learned things that I can use in both my professional and personal life. I also think I learned and retained more than any other class. Not to mention a ton of tools and resources I can access later.
I think the assignments were very thought provoking and using the different types of info was awesome. I probably never would have thought to watch a video but I learned a ton from them. Recording all the info on the apps was also brilliant. It forced me to go more in depth and I looked at a lot more apps than I otherwise would have. I never would have taken the time on my own to gather and learn all this info. Completing the assignments were fun and exciting because of their usefulness. I honestly cannot say enough good things!

Chromebooks in the Classroom was a class that every teacher needs to take. Schools and teachers are being given these amazing new Chromebooks but have no idea how to utilize them. I started this course being comfortable using Chromebooks in my classroom. I was already using Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Slides and Google Drive, but I knew there was so much more learning my students could be doing with them.
I think this course has sparked a curiosity in me to really devote time to incorporating as much technology into my teaching. One of the best assignments was finding websites or apps for teaching core subjects. I spent so much time weeding through and demoing website to find what I believe to be very quality resources. I had the opportunity to create a couple lessons using some of those resources. I enjoyed going out of my comfort zone and exposing my class to something new. There are so many free resources out there it truly amazes me.
