Course Description

Teaches new advisers the basics of yearbooks as it relates to photography basics, including camera hardware, elements of composition, transferring images and file management, shooting and editing in RAW mode, and sharing and publishing images.

Course Outline

  • Session 1: Camera Hardware and Basic Functions
  • Session 2: Elements of composition
  • Session 3:
    • Transferring Images & File Management
    • Editing with Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom
  • Session 4:
    • Shooting and editing in RAW mode
    • Processing RAW photos
  • Session 5:  Sharing and Publishing images
  • Session 6: Complete Digital Imaging Workflow

This course can either be taken for credit or clock hours. Clock hours are available under CEU 3974.
