Course Description

Teaches new advisers the basics of yearbooks as it relates to photography basics, including camera hardware, elements of composition, transferring images and file management, shooting and editing in RAW mode, and sharing and publishing images.

Course Outline

Session 1: Camera Hardware and Basic Functions                

Session 2: Elements of composition

Session 3:

  • Transferring Images & File Management
  • Editing with Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom

Session 4:

  • Shooting and editing in RAW mode
  • Processing RAW photos

Session 5:  Sharing and Publishing images

Session 6: Complete Digital Imaging Workflow



This course can either be taken for credit or clock hours. Clock hours are available under CEU 3974.
