Course Description

This course presents a hands/on focus on student resilience designed to support shifts in practice that follow trauma-informed frameworks and strategies for school personnel. Recognizing every student’s capacity to connect, learn and develop, this series is intended for educators prepared to engage in a yearlong dedication to shift the focus from managing student behavior to investing in trauma-informed strategies and practices. Themes throughout the series will include operating from a race equity lens, the ACSC Whole Child model, addressing secondary trauma as a professional work ethic, and incorporating brain research through the ACE study and the role of resilience.
