Course Description

This course is for any educators looking to build engagement in their classrooms through clear and actionable strategies and personal connection with their students. In this course you will explore best practice engagement strategies as well as your ability to connect with at-risk and struggling students. The two course texts, The Pedagogy of Real Talk and Creating an Actively Engaged Classroom will complement each other as you develop the concrete strategies to use with students along with the Pedagogy of Real Talk to develop relationships with struggling or at-risk students. Grade levels: K - 12

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will understand that students can be engaged through building personal connections and using simple engagement strategies.
